Unplugged

 MayLea DeCambra Oct. 18th 2024 Journalism B1-36          The media I unplugged from was all social media including Instagram, Snapchat, and Tiktok. This was honestly kind of fun, but also hard because in my free time I do go on social media. However, yesterday was my dad's birthday so it made it a little easier because I was focused on cleaning the house and helping make dinner for him and get his cake for him. Going unplugged allowed me to complete tasks efficiently and allowed me to be more engaged in conversations with my family. It also reminded me of junior high where my mom would have me and my little brother have a no electronic day, so we could do homework and chores. At the time I hated it, but now that I'm older I do realize how efficient it was because when I wasn't cleaning or cooking, it allowed me to catch up on homework or assigned reading I had been procrastinating on.
